In this creative STEAM class, students explore the connection between engineering and art to design and build a three-dimensional animal mask. Using the engineering design process—plan, create, test, and improve—students transform simple materials into strong, lifelike structures. As they layer materials to create strong and detailed designs, students explore form, balance, and structure while bringing their chosen animal to life. Students will design and build their animal creations with guidance from Susan Gann of Brigham Academy.
